First Run [OOC]

Image
In the harsh reality of the 2070s where profit is the most important mistress, the bigger the metroplex, the deeper the shadows. In the cracks between the giant corporate structures, criminals of all shades find their homes. When the megacorps want a job done but don’t want to dirty their hands, they turn to the only people who can pull it off: shadowrunners, deniable assets.

No, I imagine it is just paranoia to always be armed and dangerous for tricky encounters the ol’ evil GM can potentially throw at them.

Maybe they don’t trust the weapons check-in place? I am not the most well-versed in the Shadowrun universe, but I think there are many public places with strict “no weapons” policies that are enforced by MAD sensors.

Mostly just in-character never quite trusting a Johnson; plus Shadowrunners think of themselves as beyond the laws that pertain to normal folk.

That said, drawing unnecessary attention is also a bad thing.

If (at any point) you think I'm being overly aggressive/cautious just say so OOC. Iwon't be offended and don't mind explaining my IC choices/actions. I think I've got a firm grip on who Franz is and how he acts, but as a man of few words he isn't going to be giving any elaborate diatribes on what he is doing and why. :)

Sorry for disappearing like that, I realised I had end of semester exams and I went mostly off-line in order to cram for that and I think I scraped through. Combined with work, I haven't had time to check in sorry.

Not sure exactly what I was thinking with my last post, I wrote it after being awake for 38 hours and had intended to flesh it out on smoke breaks and lunch breaks. Not sure where I'd intended to go with it unfortunately. Apologies again folks.

Daze, I figure we need a post from you before moving along.

I am busy this week with family visiting so I will be slow to post this week myself as well.

In case it was not obvious, you all are thrust together to RP. ;)

Hopefully we can get the meeting everyone accomplished by the time Tufa/Daze returns to normal posting.

My posting is going to be very spotty for the next couple of weeks, as evident for the past week and a half. Year end push at work. Things will be back to normal closer to the Christmas as people start taking off.

Sorry, I was not trying to end you conversations, but to stretch your conversation IC over a much longer time as your words would likely be said in between songs when things are quieter.

Okay, we are over a week since anyone has posted. I know Herzog is busy so we can go slowly, but I would rather not pause all together.

I am going to drop Daze if he doesn’t return soon since he has not replied or posted since stating he was back to normal.

I think you guys should format the telepathy with Italics and quotations marks. I think that is the standard we have used in the past.

Sorry, apparently it logged me out of the site so despite checking in regularly it wasn't showing the red circle for unread posts. :(

While I am moving the scene on, feel free to still reply to Vixen about the dragons involvement in Seattle and SR and assume it took place before meeting MacAllister.

However, let’s have some action!

Since the Dice Rolling Thread in First Run was archived with that forum the other day, let’s just use this thread: http://www.myth-weavers.com/showthread.php?t=240185

If you take actions that are not opposed, you can assume TN of 6. But otherwise, you all can state your actions and end your post with appropriate dice rolls. I will be rolling the opposition and results.

Any attacks or actions directed at your characters will be resolved on your turn/posts.
