TSP: Character Creation and Ruleset

Far beyond the edge of the inhabited universe lies the Silent Planet, a fertile but isolated world rumoured to be the final resting place for a number of lost interplanetary expeditions. Despite the planet’s deadly reputation, legends of riches, vast resource deposits, and lost alien technology tempt those brave, or foolish, enough to take the risk. Will the Silent Planet’s latest batch of colonists quell its dangerous wildlife and hostile inhabitants, or will they end up as another in a long line of expeditions that have simply ‘gone silent’?

Character Creation
-Characters start at 1st Level
-15-point buy for ability scores, using Pathfinder’s point buy system
-Max HP at 1st level, roll for each additional level
-PCs get 2 free traits
-Magic and Psionics are permitted
-Classes and archetypes outside the Santiago conversion guide are allowed, though I may have to take a look at them first

I will roll initiative for all players once combat starts. In the first round, the players who rolled higher for initiative than the average of the opponents' rolls will post first, followed by the opponents, and then will alternate between the players and opponents. For example, If the opponent rolls 16 for initiative, and the players roll 18, 15 and 9, the player who rolled 18 will act first, followed by the opponent, and then by the players (including the one who rolled 18). Players will post as a group, with the actions taking place in the order in which they are posted, though they can delay their actions if necessary by indicating so.

Firearms and other Ranged Weapons
Firearms and laser weapons will be treated as normal ranged weapons, meaning that they make their attacks against normal AC instead of touch AC. In keeping with this change, the gunslinger's Deadeye Deed with be altered to read as follows:
Deadeye | Show
At 1st level, the Gunslinger can resolve an attack against touch AC instead of normal AC. Performing this deed costs 1 grit point when attacking a target the first two range increments and an additional grit point for each additional range increment. The Gunslinger still takes the –2 penalty on attack rolls for each range increment beyond the first when she performs this deed.

Alignment will not be used in this campaign. If you plan on taking an ability that is normally based on alignment, PM me or post in the OOC thread and we can try to find a suitable replacement and/or tweak.
