Samara accepts the servant cloths from Rua'thil. She wrinkled her nose, but said nothing. Beggars could not be choosers in this situation. The witch would do anything to stay alive and exact vengeance at this point.

While the others were still finishing up the finer details of the plan, the dark haired woman excused herself. She moved to around the spiral stair case, blocking line of sight to the others. She had some modesty left.

Quickly changing out of the prisoner tunic and into the servant clothes, Samara rejoined the others.

"Alright, I am ready."

Cullen rubbed at his chin as he regarded the map again. The idea was sound and Samara's magic would be a great boon in catching the guard on the roof "off guard" so to speak. If they played it right, the plan should go off without a hitch.

"If we were to take Samara with us," he said to Darius. "We would need a believable excuse for why a servant would be coming to the gate house. Perhaps we could find some kind of prop for her to hold, like a jug that could be passed off as refreshments? A servant with nothing to serve would raise the suspicions of even a stupid guard."

As Rua'thil disrobed and handed the servant dress to Samara, Cullen turned his head so that he wasn't staring at her. The half-elf didn't seem to care much for her own modesty, but he thought perhaps he'd at least grant her some form of privacy.

"That is unless I've misunderstood the situation... again. Rua'thil, won't you need clothes as well, as you've just given yours away?" he added, feeling that wearing only undergarments and chainmail wouldn't be as protective as clothes. But then again, if she was comfortable like that, who was he to deny her?

When Samara returned from changing, Cullen looked over at her, nodding in approval.

"Ah, yes a vast improvement."

~ Branderscar Prison: Kitchen ~

Rua’thil had been wearing the prison rags under the armor and the servant’s clothes. After being humiliated and brutalized by the guards, worrying about modesty in her appearance just did not matter.

But needing some other attire for after escaping would be necessary.

“Yes, I should probably wear something. Let us go through the prison building on the way. The building itself will actually hide us from the guard and when you three head to the gatehouse, you can actually use the main entrance of building.”

She motioned for the dogs to follow her and gestured for Grumblejack to come along as well. A decision made, they need not stand around discussing it any longer.

Rua’thil descended the stairs to the exit of the Warden’s Tower. Checking quickly to ensure there were no surprises, she only peeked out the door at first. With the courtyard clear and the guard unable to see them, she led the group around the backside of the prison building to the kitchen door again.

There Samara could pick up something for her role as servant wench and she could find some spare clothing from the dead guards’ footlockers to wear. She only needed some trousers, a shirt, a tunic, and some boots that fit reasonably well enough.

"Indeed" Samara agreed at Cullen's comment.

Her appearance was much better in the servant clothes than the raty and itchy prison tunic. A vast improvement for sure, but not particular the witch's style. Not something to worry about the moment.

The dark haired witch followed after the others. Soon they were in the prison's kitchen. Samara quickly located a jug to be used as a prop to complete her disguise. She tucked the knife in the folds of her clothes to keep it out of sight. She hopefully wouldn't need the weapon as she had her spells and hexes.

"Let me cast one spell to give me a some additional protection since things will be moving quickly from here on."

Samara muttered a few arcane words and gestured. A shimmering ran over her as an invisible shield formed around her body. It would offer some protection. The witch then touched Cullen and Darius, casting the guidance spell in case they needed it in the next minute.

"Ok, let's go."

Samara would follow after Cullen and Darius.

Darius takes in the scene of the kitchen again. It was starting to become a good place to do their planning, though he still felt the urge to burn it all down. He says, "Not to worry. This prison has far larger problems than just bringing along a servant into the gate house. We can say she's there to collect empty bottles of booze for all they care - these men we deal with are fools and drunkards. Let's go." Darius sets out with his disguise towards the gate house.

The trio set out for the guard house, ready to play their roles. The roof guard called out to them. Cullen had hoped that he wouldn't do that, the less aware of them that he was, the easier it would be to take him out.

"Can't you think of a reason to bring a wench to the game? At the very least, she's bringing more alcohol." Cullen worked very hard to keep the high born accent out of his voice. He didn't like associating with the swine, but his pride was not worth his death or the death of the others. "'Sides, what do you care? You're up there. Its not like you're playing or anything."

Samara smirked at the interaction between the disguised Cullen and the guard on the roof. It seemed convincing from her point of view, even if she was a bit degraded by the suggestion that she might be entertainment. Oh she would entertain alright, entertain by killing those that imprisoned her.

At any rate, Samara acted like the serving wench she was suppose to be and juggled the jug of ale suggestively. Perhaps the guard would meet them down in the gatehouse instead.

Either way, the witch kept quiet and followed Darius and Cullen's lead.

Cullen gave the guard a little wave as if to say he understood the man and moved closer to Samara as they made their way to the gate house.

"I apologize for that. I hope you're not offended," he muttered, ever the gentleman. He might not be good, but it can not be said that he was impolite or didn't care. When they reached the door, he paused.

"Ready?"
Once Samara and Darius indicated that they were ready, he opened the door for them.

Darius grins up at the guard and says, "It's all foolishness in a way, you know. Not to worry, the Warden's too busy to catch us doing anything anyway. You know how he is." The dhampir opens the door, stepping inside the gate house when everyone was all set.

Samara was still smirking as the two men called back at the guard. The ruse succeeded, and they were left to enter the guardhouse at will.

"None taken, " the witch whispered back a reply to Cullen. "They will be dead in moments at any rate."

All that was left was to enter the guard house, kill the guard on the roof, and then take care of the sergeant. Samara moved up behind Cullen and Darius. She touches both again to give some arcane guidance. She then cast the same spell on herself.

Samara nods to the other two, signalling her readiness.

~ Branderscar Prison: Entryway ~

Rua’thil used her time to quickly find some new clothes from the barracks of the dead guards. A tunic from a slender guard and watch cloak were enough to be used for clothes for the moment. She also found the smallest pair of extra footwear as well.

Moving to the doorway of the prison building, she waited with Grumblejack and the two dogs for the signal to move across the open ground.

“We shall wait here, o’ large one,” she advised the ogre. “Soon we shall be able to cross without raising an alarm and then we can interrupt Blackerly’s game.”

With the door cracked slightly open, she looked through the slit to be ready for when it was time.

This largely unused room has a door (sans lock) leading to the courtyard and a ladder leading upward. There are three arrow slits here. When the group ascends, they come to an open room which has two ladders up and two ladders down. This whole level has twenty arrow slits that grant vision over the bridge, courtyard and walls.

The guard should now come into play with his perception to be aware of the party. He is distracted due to the chill which is granting him a -2 penalty at the moment.
