Haven of Evil [OOC]

The Kingdom of Talingarde is perhaps the noblest, most virtuous and peaceful nation yet founded. The royalty of this dominion has rescued a dispirited people from the brink of despair and darkness. They dealt with their enemies honorably and their allies faithfully. Talingarde is a paragon of the age, a bright shining city upon a hill. Yet the nation faces now its greatest test. US! It is our ambition to do nothing less than destroy Talingarde utterly.

Joph, am I running the Guard from this point forward?
I was assuming he is aware of the party, but the real question is whether he will be aware of whom they really are when the trio shows up on the 3rd floor.

That would be fine. The guard is not intoxicated at the moment, so perception is as normal for him. From the conversations he's had so far I would say he's not suspicious of anyone yet.

I suppose you could. I thought we might be waiting on DB to post for Cullen. She has been busy.

Thought I'd mention here I got a PM from DB just recently, she will no longer be participating. Should I NPC Cullen in the meantime?

That’s too bad. :(

But I sort of figured as much when she dropped the other game too. This one needed her more, so I had hoped it would make the cut.

I can go back to NPCing Cullen unless you want to, Joph.

For the scene with the guard, I did not think it was necessary for Cullen to lead the way. But if that character is the one to do the leading/talking, yeah go ahead and post Cullen if you would.

Yeah, I am talking with a potential recruit.

I don’t think we need someone to pick up playing Cullen. Though, any character that participated in the prison break is automatically more trustable than a stranger.

Depending on the character, we could end up rescuing the new person at the poker game, I suppose.

After a few more PMs, mightymaltim has agreed to join us. He and I have been playing together for a little while on MW.

Hey all, looking forward to getting in on this with you guys. I noticed you're missing a roguish type, and I believe I'll be filling that gap with a halfling ninja. Background-wise, I'm picturing his family as foreign immigrants with different customs from the rest of Talingarde. His crime would be Murder, and the path that brought him to his current state of affairs is fraught with cultural misunderstanding and plots for revenge, all brought on by a severed ponytail.

Is there somewhere I should make my dice rolls for character creation? Or shall I just roll them here?

Joph, I think Darius is up next IC.

Also, Darius doesn't need anything to see by, but Samara and Cullen would have trouble inside the Gatehouse unless there is illumination. Was there any? Once they are on the third level, then the lantern of the guard would all them to see him and most of the rest would be dim outside the range of the lantern.

Also, I have been playing around with Google Docs for the map. It might be better than Ditzie and anyone can add pictures if necessary. It is much faster on me, that's for sure. It auto-saves and the link never changes too. (But Google Docs saves the changes in history and you can roll back if gets mucked up). I replaced the link in Samara's post so we can see if we like it better or not.

Mighty, do you want to get involved sooner. You can run Cullen for a little while until we finish up the last few bits of the prison.

I'm in no hurry, I'm still catching up on the backlog. If it's all the same, I'd just as soon hold off until you're ready to have Len join in. He's pretty much done, save for one more trait to pick out, and I'm still hammering out his backstory.
