Ack! LM wrote his draft by hand for me to transcribe and I did not realize that we took longer to reach Santa Cruz when we were proofreading it, arriving the second day instead of dinner time on the first. He needs to go back fix it some tomorrow. Then I might have my segment ready to cover flagstaff and the Grand Canyon.

We got it sorted pretty quickly. Just had to do it at home before bed-time. ;)

I love your guys' stories!

LM, what a cool motorcycle you found for Peter. And you did such a good job adding specific detail, like the name of the ride they went on, and the exact food that they ate. That really helps to bring the story to life. You are a natural at writing stories!

PM, I really enjoyed all the pictures you found to include, and the detail about them flying through the Grand Canyon was so great! That must have been an experience of a lifetime.

I am looking forward to hearing about Herzog's leg of the trip too.

Has anyone been to the Grand Canyon in real life? I have not been there, myself.

Thanks, I had the idea but waited to see if Herzog wanted the Grand Canyon first.

I have actually made the road trip from Seattle down south to head east during Nov 1995 traveling the same route until reaching northern Texas when I started heading northeast to reach Tennessee.

I made a special point to see the Grand Canyon on the trip, but that was about all I did. That Skywalk looks pretty new and of course I was not able to fly through the canyon at the time (but I thought it would be a cool thing to do). I bet they have helicopter tours to do it.

My post is probably best viewed from a pc than phone. Sorry about that. I didn't spend a lot of time looking for smaller images.

hitting the grand canyon is on my bucket list. Perhaps in a few years, we will get out that way.

Nicely done, Herzog! I enjoyed the real-world tour of Texas. Great pictures. That's the perfect one for Cliff's ranch house!

All three of you did a great job. That was fun! I enjoyed seeing what you guys came up with. We'll have to do something like that again sometime.

Yeah, now that you mention it, it was tickling me too and I was not sure why. That must have been it.

Hmm...maybe that should have been a knowledge roll?

For guessing about a medusa?
I dunno, a dragon knows lots of stuff and you already posted. If you rolled ahead of time, you could have used the result to self determine what Apollo guessed.

I tend to think of a knowledge roll as something you roll when you are stuck and need a hint from the GM. Then you can roll knowledge and get some information you didn't have before. But if you have an idea based on hints in the story, and you want to voice it aloud, go for it! With very few exceptions, if you thought of it, your character can think of it. So guessing aloud is fine, Herzog. :)
