Crit heard the commotion down at the other end of the hall, and cursed quietly under his breath.

They had not noticed the concealed door earlier, in their haste. He hadn’t even heard the guards enter the hall until the others took action. His friends were quick about it, and Master Denia was no slouch, either. That would make all the difference.

He moved up through the others and planted his back against the wall. He stood there, ready to poke his head around the corner and fire.

While attention was focused on the gaggle of guards pouring out of a secret door in the corridor ahead, the two doors to either side of the chamber the group was in slide open abruptly. A pair of lumbering Gamorreans each hefted a stun baton in one hand, its length crackling with energy. Eyes twitching from one side to the other as though trying to look in both directions at once, the Gamorreans possessed an air of caution that came from experience in preventing enemies from escaping. That went out the window as they both charged in to flail with stun batons.

Teeva was caught by the crackling baton and felt the charge of electrical energy zap her strength. The other swiped at Denia, but missed, and moved back away to sort of surround the group.

Hayole turned around, seeing a new threat. "Aww crap! We should have cleared those rooms earlier."

The Gammorrean's ahead were harder shots, so he took aim and then fired at the newly arrived one behind them. He squeezed off a shot. It was close, hardly singing the guard's ugly head as the bolt passed by with only a bare centimeter of space between.

One of the knocked down Gammoreans got to his feet and advanced, while another came out of the secret tunnel. After a few steps the second guard passed by the others adn charged the little furry being in front of him. The vibroaxe flashed down and impacted the floor with a loud clang. J'hera Zed had side-stepped the blow to avoid it.

J’hera Zed pulled hard on the Force, mentally asking his mentor to aid him.

The wave of invisible energy crashed into the two Gamorreans facing him and knocked them flat once more. The one at his feet was still moving, but the other was still.

Another guard dead and another knocked down did not stop the Gamorreans from advancing. The first one knocked down, shook himself adn got to his feet to begin lumbers forward as well.

Things had moved quickly, almost too quickly for Teeva to keep track of. Several of the guards were down, but the remaining and rushed in. The girl smarted as she had taken a hit of the stun baton. It hit a lot and weakened her resolve, but at least it wasn't lethel...yet. Quickly glancing around, the young force user realized the two additional guards had come from behind them.

"Crap! Careful, there might be more!"

Teeva had no good choices, she took a step back behind Kalla to get away from the towering Gamorrean. The step didn't put her in a better position.

"Kalla! Try to engage one of these in the back!"

For her part, Teeva gathered her will and tugged on the force. She sent a blast of Force into the guard that had hit her with the stun baton. But her will failed.

"Crap!"

Kalla hoped that Teeva would use force on the guard, but it didn't work. He had to do something quick.

Kalla swung his vibroaxe, unfortunately missing the Gamorrean completely.

Neither Kalla or Teeva had been able to do much. After the Force User's grasp on the Force fizzled a moment, the Gamorrean blocked the Wookiee's vibroaxe at the shaft with his stun baton.

Denai remained where she was, the Hutt's guards loosely surround them at the moment until their numbers could be thinned. She pulled on the Force and reached out a hand towards the nearby Gamorrean threatening the tiny, furred being on the floor nearby. The guard's vibro axe flew out of his grasp and sailed into the waiting hands of the older woman.

Crit stood with his back pressed to the wall. He caught sight immediately of more enemies pouring into the room in front of them. He could hear the ones behind. A particularly large gamorrean rushed up and loomed in front of him, but both J’hera Zed and Master Denia were quick to act.

The vibroaxe spun by in a blur, only to be caught by Denia. It was impressive, but Crit barely had time to register it.

There were two gamorreans in his line of sight now: one in melee with Wook, one on the floor next to him. He could hear at least one more in the tunnel. Crit looked down at the one on the floor struggling to get up, the raised his fist. Coldly, he sent a pulse of blaster fire directly into the gamorrean’s head. The gamorrean slumped and went still.

Crit took a step back, positioning himself in the corner.

“Overwatch, take down the one in the hallway!”

One of the Gamorreans continued to press the Wookiee, but Kalla blocked the stun baton from touching his fur with the shaft of his vibro axe.

The other one with a stun baton moved back and touched the older woman from behind and zapped her with is stun baton,

The Jedi Master could not resist the shocking of the stun baton and collapsed unconscious again.

Hayole took aim again focused on the guard coming down the hallway, leaving the Jedi Master and Teeva to protect him from the other side. He nearly broke his concentration when the older woman collapsed, but he gritted his teeth and kept his blaster rifle on the other one.

"Somebody get that mawkin' one behind me, then."

He drilled the last of the guards blocking their way out, a blaster bolt punching a hole in the Gamorrean's face.

J’hera Zed drew in a breath and turned around to face towards the last two Gamorreans that had popped out of the cells to either side in ambush. After the Jedi master went down, he knew it was up to him to attempt to quickly put a stop to the guards detaining them.

He pulled again on the Living Force. He used it to grab the nearby Gamorrean and lifted him off his feet. He swung him around Kalla and over his head to arc through the empty space by Teeva and slam into the other guard with a stun baton. Both were hurt and the flung guard was lying on the floor beside the other who managed to stay upright by clutching the doorjamb with his free hand.

Teeva cringed as the Force Master was stunned back to unconsciousness. That was going to hinder the group later in their flight from the Hutt's palace. The tide had turned in this fight, with only two guards left. On this level, at any rate, the girl pessimistically thought.

"Only two left!"

Teeva took a step back to stand next to Kalla while raising her blaster pistol. She took aim at the one still standing and snapped off a shot. The shot went wide as apparently the girl's hands were shaking. THe young force user shook her head in dismay as she began to calm her nerves from the previous stunning strike.

Kalla growled at the guards, as he swung the vibroaxe. His rage from not hitting last time and from the guards hurting the master was uncontrollable.

The wookie roared the loudest he had ever had, and missed again. Kalla stomped his foot on the stone floor, frustration running through his body.

Move two squares toward guard 7.
