It sounds like we are in a slightly different order.

Trying to take into account everyone's current position and stated preferences, how about the following;

CP 40 - Nik
CP 39 - Dorn
CO 39 - Phaeral
CP 38 - Kaedyn

Yep, okay by me. I was waiting on Sirfinn to roger up, since he is a frontliner.
Sorry to take so long, busy week. Next week too with public holiday and other things getting in the way.

Before I post, could we get a determination on where Nik and Dorn actually were able to step to, oh illustrious GM?

Alright, a few things. Dorn and Nik forget the Bless adding +1 To Hit and that Devil’s Bane provides Good Alignment, +2 Enchantment, +2d6 damage.

Nik, you also should have rolled a Caster Check to overcome SR. I rolled 16+6=22. Passed.
Also Nik takes an AoO, for 13 damage.
CN41 is a table, so Nik only makes it to CO41, and Dorn to CP41.

Sirfinn, you cannot take Full Attack with movement, so the second attack will be discarded.

I rolled the Devil’s Bane damage, Nik got 8, Dorn 5 = 13 damage. Total Damage or Pit Fiend = 52. He falls, but combat is not over yet.

Sorry, didn't see Bless in conditions in effect, and forgot about Devils Bane.

Sirfinn, Dorn is carrying a reach weapon (longspear) that cannot be used to attack in squares adjacent. Unfortunately a 5ft step will not easily correct this as that square is occupied. You will have to edit.

Guess I need to wait until that is resolved, before posting....

Yes, I will need new actions from Dorn. Short hafting the longspear to attack the hellhound is not an option (I think you need a special feat, maybe Monkey Grip, to do that).

Without quick draw, I suspect the best option is to draw a one handed weapon in his right hand for a single attack (not the Full Attack already rolled) The longspear can be shifted to his left hand to simply carry it or just dropping it; either is a Free Action..

He could have waited and perhaps the 5ft step could have been an option

I had a character once who was a spear specialist. Your first impulse was right, PMiller. The feat is "Short Haft" and it's in the PHB2.

Thanks. I was going off of memory and didn’t actually look it up.

The Hellhound is going to die. I suppose I could just not count Dorn’s actions at all since Nikhil’s rolled attacks would also be enough to finish the Helhound after 1 of Phaeral’s arrows.

The issue is that the combat round will not be over and the rest of the PCs will get a chance to do something different.

sorry folks I didn't realise Dorn couldn't stab the hellhound.
Changed post to have him charge over the dead hound instead.

Okay then. With Phaeral's damage, Nikhil will have to be assumed to have acted before Dorn to use those results in the Dice Roll thread. it is not neat and clean, but it gets us moving so Kaedyn can finish the round after that.
