Have you determined what is missing or outdated? Or is it easier for you to just fix it?

Does Mint Hill Outpost have a vegetable plot?
Any work benches?
What did the few traders have to trade?
Any further information on the local raider activities?
Did you need observation roll/checks?

That inventory might appear to be 2 years old, but it looks right to me for Zak. Maybe the ammo, rations and water are not correct but we are hardly tracking that real accurately are we?

I will mention that whenever I edited the inventory for Zak, the forum will not time stamp the edit. That has to do with my admin account. I think your edits are the same, Herzog.

Mint Hill probably has vegetable plots and work benches.

You will need to ask about raider activities.

On trader inventory, i rather roll for stuff you are looking for than providing a list of what they have.

What are we rolling, Herzog? We never established Wealth ratings with The Window. ;) Previously, you rolled.

What about another Springfield M21 or M1A and 7.62mmm ammo.

Zak would be in browsing mode to see if there is something interesting to trade for that make not be useful immediately, but potentially more valuable as a trade item at another outpost.

He could use some mechanical and electrical parts to add to his inventory, I guess. One of his shticks from d20 was to craft stuff that we could use.

IIRC, before we got the brahmin, Zak was trying to get the makings of constructing a cart to haul our heavy gear. But with two beasts of burden, maybe we don’t need that stuff anymore.

Also, I did notice that Robin’s inventory was not correct and at least missing the Springfield M21 and ammo. I fixed that.

We had bought 3 frag grenades, used only one? I gave Zak the other two since I cannot remember who they went to.

Exactly. That is why i was asking what you are looking for. So i can roll to see if its available.

Maybe a better question is how are we going to handle the monetary system overall. Since converting to The Window, it was my impression that we were not going to bother tracking this stuff in detail anymore.

We had some Caps and we have some trade goods. Would we be just establishing a Wealth rating that is relative to the local area/setting? I noticed the variable dice used for items on our shopping list. Wouldn't we be rolling our Wealth against a variable TN instead?

Herzog, I would need a roll for ammo components for crafting more ammo. Zak already has the ammo kit. I had it there on my sheet from Carolina Place, i think.

Ok, to answer the wealth question, we should establish a wealth rung. Kinda like Shattered Mirror.

SOrry for the lack of posting, been busy with work, and now worked myself sick. it has been a struggle to get into the right mental state for posting

Shattered Mirror is the name of the Star Wars game on this site using The Window rule set.

This is what we have listed about Wealth:
Wealth will be an abstract concept in this conversion. Every character will have a wealth rating that represents their purchase power. It is a competency ladder just like everything else and starts at d30. Xp can be spent to improve it only at character generation. Buying items would be subjective. If the items are simple, common type of stuff, there would be no reduction in the player’s wealth rating. However, uncommon, specialized, restricted or just plain expensive items could be out of reach of the players current wealth rating. If the player can buy it, then those type of items would reduce their wealth a rung. The reverse would be true when selling an item in terms of increasing a character’s Wealth rating.

That is pretty much how The Window rules describe it.

So how does this work with trading?
Would a specific target number be given to find/trade for an item?
What about caps? Will this be still used.

The idea is to keep things simple.

So you want to buy something, you roll Wealth vs. TN6, unless item happens to be especially rare or common and the GM says differently. If you succeed you buy it or trade for it. Depending on the item acquired and what was traded, the GM tells you whether your Wealth went up or down.

Caps would still be the currency when not bartering, but you would not bother tracking the exact number for anything. So it only has a role-plying function.
