It's one of the hybrid class variants from pathfinder. Weaker version of rage, and able to cast spells as a sorcerer, with a more limited list and number. Plus, different extra abilities based on the blood line. I might just throw something simple together for my first run through though. I can see how it would be a little confusing with this rule system.

I am sure it would be easy to convert. Barbarian and Sorcerer are in the example character list and the character would really be no different than a multi-classed version of Barb/Sorc when made in The Window.

Newb to this board but not to PbP. Signed up looking to be accepted maybe into a D&D type game - with a good deal of luck, one that will allow me to play as a minotaur, centaur slime or some such.

I played an a PbP at spellholdstudios for about a year and a half (But that was six or seven years ago) and another at Beamdog, roughl the same amount of time ago. - I'm rusty but willing!

Games (Any Games) HERE that allow one to play a minotaur or centaur or some such? - Ohhhh I'm a-gonna LIKE it here!

Hmm, never hear of either of those site, but I imagine there are tons of smaller PbP sites out there. We are not terribly big here either, but we have some players that have been here for years.

Well, Spellholdstudios is Primarily a game site devoted to Baldur's Gate, but has (Had) PbP in general for a time.

Beamdog, so far as I can tell, no longer exists.

Hi there! I'm a newbie at the idea of games by post but I believe it has been explained well to me by someone who used to play.

I am addicted to D & D 3.5 or Pathfinder, but open to new games as well.

I am currently participating in a One Ring campaign (that just finished), a Pathfinder campaign, a D&D 5th ed game & starting in a game of 7th sea (to replace the one ring game) but would like to find something else to be able to play the rest of the time. hehehe - Like I said - Addicted!

Posting frequently or more than once per day is great, but most games are only on a once per day schedule as the fastest. Often RL gets in the way and it realistically is more like 2-4 times per week. In fact that is pretty much standard because everyone takes turns and when dealing with various time zones around the world. That pace gives everyone a chance to equally participate too.

As a result, what we end up doing is putting more thought and effort into our IC writing instead of rushing a quick 1-2 liner to post as fast as possible.

I certainly understand this. I have to wait for my turn & for others to react to whatever is happening and so forth. I was mainly just trying to convey my enthusiastic desire to play!

And pardon the newbie ... what does "IC" mean?

“IC” refers to In Character.
“OOC” refers to Out Of Character.

New games are rather quiet around here with new blood being scarce and the ol’ veterans are pretty busy.

Your old group in the Adventurer’s Guild is still running, though I had to cycle your character out of the story before they started the last two scenarios.

If you don’t mind, I can work you in right away talking over an abandoned character (Ghost) until the adventure concludes and we can integrate a replacement.
