"Alright, good idea."

Vlad called after Morrolan, as the big man began to check the rooms with his magic sight. Maybe he would find something, maybe he wouldn't. But it never hurt.

The swashbuckler stayed neared the unopened doors and waited for the other two to finish.

Day 14, 11:52 - The FoundryGoing back through the rooms, Morrolan did not see any magical auras from the places the group had already explored. It appeared that nothing was missed. Checking the two scrolls gained from the defiled temple, proved they glowed. That made sense as it was believed they contained spells written on them.

Going all the way back to the pile of loot in the foundry cavern, he was able to confirm that none of the weapons or armor was magical.

No magicMorrolan let his concentration on the spell go after they finished returning to the pile of loot. He had even checked the new items in the magic bag, but other than the scrolls and potions, there was nothing.

"Well, that was disappointing. We have not found any new magical items."

"I will point out that we also have not found any invisible gray dwarves either. But we do have more doors back there and some secret passages to finish checking out."

"Therr was another door off the great hall too. So now where?"

"Well we have the trio of doors in the room with the pool and the passage behind the secret door. Either would be viable spots to search. The larger room gives us all the chance to challenge any threat. The narrow passage we will need due caution of a confined space." Orekk replied, then added.
"If I was the grey dwarf the secret passage would have been my path away."

“It was still good you checked anyway, Morrolan. At least now we know.”

Hellsing turned around to look at Orekk.

“Oh, Orekk. I did not realize you had followed us out here. Yes, I would agree with your general sentiment. I think we should return to the chamber with the pool, perhaps investigate the pool further, and then move on to investigate the doors.”

"Didn't want Morrolan concentration to be disturbed, so I kept quiet." Orekk replied, humour evident in his voice; considering how much metal he was carrying.

With Orekk trailing after Hellsing and Morrolan, Vlad thought it best to follow after the others. He motioned for Arealla to come along. It was best not to stay separated.

Catching up with the others, the swashbuckler caught the last bit of conversation. To the question of where to next, he offered his suggestion.

"We can finish checking those other three doors by the pool. Chances are we'll probably find another entrance to the secret passage way. It did T out after all."

Going backMorrolan nodded in agreement. “No argument from me. Let’s return to where we left off in our exploration and decide which door to open next. While the pools are a curiosity, I have yet to see anything unusual about them. Perhaps it requires that someone actually gets into the water to feel around the bottom?”

“Not my sort of thing, mind you.”

He gestured for the others to go on ahead to return to the other chamber. The big duskblade was going to bring up the rear like he always did.

Araella nonchalantly follows the others along, mind content to aimlessly wander as her eyes traverse around the keep.

She notices the patterns of construction on the walls, ceiling and floor, wondering how long and how much man-power it took to make. She tries to visualize the reflections of their boot-steps and how they reverberate through the underground passageways.

Man-power? More like dwarf-power!

Araella lets slip a hidden smile, despite being almost being choked out by a magic rug a brief few minutes ago. Walking under the mountain still triggered fond memories of exploring the forest near her childhood village.

Now back in the room with the pool, Vlad looked at the remaining doors.

"Nah, I don't fancy getting wet either. " the swashbuckler commented to Morrolan about taking a dip in the pool.

"Might be best to just leave it alone for now."

The dark haired man pondered the doors. The walk back to the forge had painted a better picture of the stronghold's layout. The secret passage that had T'ed out likely entered into the clockwise most room. And since it had another direction, perhaps they should leave it for last.

"Maybe start with the count-clockwise most door?" he asked the others.

Araella thoughtfully ponders Vlad's suggestion. She gazes around the space and it's doors, then her stare falls to the pool. Her eyes immediately fill with a look of distrust.

"I for one certainly do not see a need for any of us to take a plunge. Vlad, your plan seems as good as any." She unconsciously centers her self in open space, staying away from any doors or pools for that matter.

“Very well, it sounds like it is settled then. We will leave the pool alone.”

Hellsing studied the three doors in question, then nodded to Vlad’s suggestion. She moved to the first door in counter-clockwise terms; she was familiar with clocks in spite of not having grown up with them. It was gnomes who had invented such things, as she understood it. Delicate machines with many moving parts. They were not magical, even though they seemed to be.

She walked up to the door and carefully examined it.

Day 14, 11:55 - The FoundryAfter a few minutes to look around for magical auras and checking the pile of loot in the Foundry, the group returned to the pool where they last had been exploring.

There were no signs of any invisible dwarves and the stone chambers were quiet.

Back in the room with the three closed doors, Hellsing carefully examined the first door on the right after entering. She did not find any traps and was pretty confident there were none.

However, what she did find was the outline of a secret door on the other side of her (M59).

“Oh, look at this.”

Hellsing pointed toward the area just to her right, then glanced over her shoulder at the others.

“I believe there is a secret door here. Let me check.” She paused. “By the way, I do not believe there are any traps on this door.” Hellsing indicated the one she had originally been checking.

She moved just to the side of where she believed the secret door was, and leaned across to check the area, trying to figure out how to open the door, or if there were any traps.
